CLUB LEGENDS RETURN TO TIGERLAND

The Men’s Football Department has made a key appointment with Paul “PK” Kennedy returning to Tigerland as our Football Manager.
PK’s return follows the recent decision of former football manager and club legend Scott Kemble to step down after seven years in the role.
The COVID-19 enforced break provides us with the perfect opportunity to reset on and off field and we are very excited to have PK overseeing this period in his role.
PK will be outstanding in not only managing our footy list, but his expertise will offer valuable leadership and experience to senior coach Zac Vansittart and all departments coaching staff within the club.
PK has a rich history at our club where his previous involvement as Club Coach/List Manager set up the club’s long running success that saw us participate in two prelims, five grand finals and win three consecutive premierships.
As most supporters will recall that success came from investing in our own home grown players, developing their skills and connection to the Club and local area.
PK will continue his current coaching role at Mentone Grammar on match days, but that will only restrict his time at Seaford in a limited capacity due to the shortened season of school football.
Welcome back PK and a very BIG thank you to Scotty Kemble for his tireless work for the club.

RESERVES NEWS

We are also delighted to announce the reappointment of Andy Clarke as our reserves coach for season 2021 and he will be joined by Paul “Noodles” Norton.
Last time the reserves played they made finals footy in 2019 but looking ahead to 2021 and, with over ten 2020 U19s players now eligible to move up to the senior grade, we are excited about what they can achieve in season 2021.
With so much young talent coming through the aim will be to develop these players and give them every opportunity to become regular senior footballers.

UNDER 19 NEWS

In what was a very extensive process and certainly not an easy decision to make, the club has replaced Under 19s coach Dave Birtles.
Birtles did a mountain of work in building the list in 2019 and everyone around the club loves the motivation and passion Birtles has for his Cubs. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the Under 19s were unable to take to the field under Dave’s leadership as coach for a second season.
The club sincerely thanks Dave for the tireless work he did with the Cubs over the past 18 months. Thank you Birtles.
With the U19s list again forever changing the club has decided to update the role with another club life member, Steve “General” Kennedy.
Steve re-joins the club after last being involved as the senior assistant throughout 2002-2010 which of course included three premierships under three different playing coaches (Paul Kennedy, Chris Fortnam and Anthony Agius).
Since 2010, Steve has been involved in numerous off field roles with his sons at their local community club, Frankston Dolphins. The latest years where he was their coach and had great success.
‘General’ will also be joined on the sidelines by another club life member and former reserves three-time premiership coach in Darren “Gooch” Godkin as his assistant.

Welcome back General & Gooch.
